Teams selected by the National Organisers will be invited, in person, to the Climate Detectives Summit in ESRIN, Italy in May 2026, to celebrate their team's success and partake in fascinating activities.
* Meeting dates are subject to change for reasons beyond the organiser’s control, such as availability of experts or force majeure. The organiser will inform of the date change 2 weeks before the meeting date. If the change is due to force majeure, the organiser will notify participants as soon as possible and provide a new date.

Centrum Nauki Kopernik jest instytucją kultury, której celem jest wspieranie uczących się w konstruowaniu wiedzy w oparciu o osobiste doświadczenie. W szczególności ułatwiania zrozumienia natury otaczających nas zjawisk i procesów przy pomocy nowoczesnych metod nauczania dopasowanych do ucznia. Cel ten realizuje m. in. poprzez tworzenie i upowszechnianie wartościowych rozwiązań dydaktycznych, prowadzenie programów edukacyjnych oraz wspieranie dyskusji dotyczących rozwoju edukacji. Organizatorami Centrum Nauki Kopernik są Ministerstwo Edukacji i Nauki oraz Miasto Stołeczne Warszawa.
Climate Detectives to międzynarodowe wyzwanie Europejskiej Agencji Kosmicznej, oferujące uczniom i uczennicom stworzenie własnego projektu z zakresu zmian klimatu lub ekologii. W tym projekcie zespoły podejmują się nie lada wyzwania, ich zadaniem jest – obserwując swoje lokalne środowisko – zidentyfikować problem z zakresu zmian klimatu lub ekologii, zbadać go i zaproponować sposób, by mu zaradzić! Dzięki udziałowi w wyzwaniu Climate Detectives dzieci i młodzież do lat 19 mają unikalną szansę opracować pełny projekt badawczy: od postawienia pytania lub hipotezy badawczej dotyczącej konkretnego problemu ekologicznego lub konsekwencji zmiany klimatu w ich lokalnym otoczeniu przez zaprojektowanie harmonogramu, doświadczeń, stworzenie stacji pomiarowej i wybór niezbędnego sprzętu czy aplikacji, po pozyskanie i analizę danych, by ostatecznie stworzyć plan zapobiegania lub zminimalizowania problemu zgodnie z wynikami projektu.
To wyzwanie jest doskonałą okazją do integracji uczniów i uczennic, budowania grup, by uczyły się podziału zadań, odpowiedzialności i współpracy w zespole przy wykonaniu projektu. Młodzież może doświadczyć, czym jest wspólnota zjednoczona wokół realizacji wspólnego celu.
