A ESA desafia os estudantes do ensino básico e secundário a participar neste projeto, para que possam ‘fazer a diferença’ na defesa climática e ambiental do planeta, realizando atividades científicas ou submetendo projetos de investigação.
No ano letivo de 2024/2025, o Climate Detectives (Detetives do Clima) volta a ter duas categorias:
– Climate Detectives Kids | Até aos 12 anos
As equipas devem completar duas atividades relacionadas com as Ciências da Terra e no final recebem emblemas alusivos ao projeto e um certificado de participação.
– Climate Detectives | Até aos 19 anos
As equipas devem cumprir as 3 fases do projeto:
1. Identificação de um problema climático ou ambiental local através de dados de satélite ou medições in situ ;
2. Monitorização e investigação do problema em questão;
3. Apresentação dos resultados e realização de campanhas de sensibilização na comunidade escolar (e na área de residência, se possível).
Esta categoria tem uma vertente competitiva e os vencedores terão a oportunidade de participar no Evento Final da ESA no seu Centro de Observação da Terra (ESRIN) em maio de 2026!
