Research question

Our group “Girls for future”, wants to discover the difference between the microclimate at Sonnvendviertel,Oberlaa and Reumannplatz because of the obstruction.

We…
 have conducted interviews,
 have measured temperatures,
 have taken satellite picutures,
 have made evaluations.
We have measured the temperatures at Neulaa/Oberlaa and Sonnvendviertel on every Sunday in the
morning,at noon and the evening.

Main results and Conclusions
Temperature between buildings is a bit higher than in green regions. Perhaps because of the obstruction in the Sonnwendviertel

Thanks to the resources available we have found out that there are in fact differences in the temperaturlevels between
Climate-neutral areas and heavily build-up settlements.

Climate-neutral areas and heavily build-up settlements.
The settlement that has lower temperatures than in Sonnvendviertel has much more green areas and lawns between the buildings.

What’s Next? Actions to make a difference and help lessen the problem

We want to recover the climate by making big and successful construction companies aware of the impact they have and build more climate neutral settlements.
