Santoña has marshes surrounding the town. We have investigated what variations there have been in the migration of birds.
The group is a PMAR group, with learning difficulties. We have taken this opportunity for them to travel with the team from the interpretation centre and investigate which birds no longer stop in Santoña, which have changed their routine and which have stayed here to live. We have also set up a weather station in collaboration with the AEMET to measure the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity on a daily basis and to obtain our own data. We have painted the playground with the birds of the marsh and the whole school has collaborated. The physics faculty have come to give talks to all the classes about climate change, how it is studied and how to combat it.
Climate change control measures have been put in place in the classroom, in groups and with families.

Santoña cuenta con unas marismas que rodean el pueblo. Hemos investigado que variaciones ha habido en la migración de las aves.
El grupo, es un grupo de PMAR, con problemas de aprendizaje. Hemos aprovechado esta oportunidad para que se desplacen con el equipo del centro de interpretación e investigen que aves ya no paran en Santoña, cuales han cambiado su rutina y cuales se han quedado a vivir aqui. Además hemos montado en colaboración con la AEMET una estación metereologica para dia a día medir temperatura max y minima y humedad y sacar nuestros propios datos. Hemos pintado el patio con las aves de la marisma y ha colaborado todo el colegio. Desde la facultad de física, han venido a darnos unas charlas a todos los cursos sobre el cambioo climatico, como se estudia y como combatirlo.
Se han instaurado medidas de control del cambio climatico en las aulas, de grupo y con las familias.
El grupo ha participado activamente en la actividad.

Results: With our meteorological station we have been able to make comparisons through graphs and climograms of the temperatures and precipitations of Santoña in the months of January, February and March 2023 and 2022. We have found a general increase in temperature and a decrease in precipitation.
Regarding the variation in bird migration dates, there is no scientific evidence to prove that the change in migratory habits is due to climate change, but it can be assumed that it may be one of the fundamental reasons. Birds delay their migration because in northern countries, the temperature takes longer to decrease, it snows less and they are able to find food in their usual place of residence. The problem that birds may encounter if temperatures continue to rise is that it will be more difficult to find wetlands in which to feed and they will be more polluted.
Resultados: Con nuestra estación metereologica hemos podido hacer comparaciones a través de gráficos y climogramas de las temperaturas y precipitaciones de Santoña en los meses de enero, febrero y marzo del 2023 y 2022. Hemos encontrado un aumento generalizado de la temperatura y disminucion de las precipitaciones.
Respecto a la variación de las fechas de migración de aves, no hay una evidencia cientifica que demuestre que el cambio en los hábitos migratorios sea debido al cambio climatico, pero si que cabe suponer que puede ser una de las razones fundamentales. Las aves retrasan su migración ya que en los paises del norte, la temperatura tarda mas en dismiinuir, nieva menos por lo que son capaces de encontrar comida en su lugar habitual de residencia. El problema con que se pueden encontrar las aves si siguen aumentando las temperaturas, es la dificultad para encontrar humedales en los que alimentarse y estarán mas contaminados.

Conocimiento del problema; todos los alumnos han participado en el mural del colegio en el que se han pintado las aves y se les ha explicado la variedad y la importancia que tiene para la villa mantener esos ecosistemas.
Trabajo en las familias; las familias participaran en actividades de recogida de residuos con los alumnos.
Reciclado de boligrafos, móviles …. para disminuir la huella de carbono.
