After adjusting the initial objective of the research following the feed back from the ESA scientist, we have searched for the data on raining and temperature in Liguria. We have found data available on the ARPAL and Aeronautica militare websites. Also we have found interesting data on European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) On the data analysed we can see that the average teperature has increased by 1,2C , in the last 17 years the report of ECMWF shows that the liguria region is one of the most affected by the increase of temperature in italy. we have used the simple statistics to analyse the data the number of the flooding has increased in the investigated dataset and main reason was intensive rain. The flooding may be caused by many differerent reasons, including the urban design error, but in our region it seems the case only in Genova, where the Bisagno river was built over so it cause outflow of the river, but from the variouse data analysed and the reports and info gained we can see that there might be the correlation between the increased temperature and the increased number of flooding in our region
Main results
It was interesting to find out that our region does take the actions in order to decrease the pollution that may be the cause of the warming. In our region recently have been introduced lots of charging stations for the electrical vehicles, there are actions and incentives for the increase of the efficiency of the buidings (so we need less heating)
Actions to help lessen the problem
We would like to underline that we have noticed the public transport vehicles do not turn off the engines on the long stops , but our region has just started the implementation of the new electricle buses that is a great news. The global warming is alarming us a young generation as we will be living in the nearest future, and we would like to draw attention of all kids and adults to this issue, as we can not only consume but we have to take care about our planet. Our main message : please do not think that one single person contribution is not making difference, but if we all will start consuming less and make more ecologically respective choices we can still have a chance
