Types of packaging used in secondary school
How do plastics harm health and the environment? Are there alternatives?
We have a problem at the secondary school: the massive use of plastic packaging (in the pine lot at the center there are usually plastics and microplastics)
We want to investigate, through a simple test, for a few months, the non-degradation of plastic and the disintegration of compostable and biodegradable packaging.
Health and environment
The objective of the project:
1- Explain the difference between compostable, biodegradable, disintegrable, non-ecotoxic. Know the concept of microplastic and how it can affect health and the environment.
2- Demonstrate the disintegration capacity of a biodegradable and compostable plastic.
3-Know, once the useful life of a plastic has ended, its introduction to the circular economy
