Climate Detectives Projects 2021-2022
Project title: Ice, sea rise and weather
Team: 4º ESO A, group 1
Aguadulce Aguadulce (Roquetas de Mar) Spain 15 Student’s age: 14-15 years old
How does climate change change impact on ice and sea level worldwide and locally?
The objective of this project is to compare the properties of sea ice and glaciar ice and the way polar ice melting affect to sea currents and climate in different parts of the world.
On the second part of the project, they will learn about the effects of global warming locally, such as the impact of the sea level rise on the coast. In the end, they will research and think of ways to mitigate or reduce climate change and its effects.
Students have learnt about the way sea level will rise and have an impact on the coast; they have also learn about other problems related to climate change and how we can reduce air pollution and mitigate the effects of climate change.
Students are preparing a presentation that summarizes the effects of climate change in Roquetas de Mar. They will explain the problem and the conclusions they have reached to other students of the secondary school.
Projects are created by the teams and they take the full responsibility of the shared data.
