Research question

Are grapes growing slower?

Summary of the project
Dates of the beginning of the harvest in the last 30 years

It is said that the harvest in our region is been delayed in the past few years. So our plan was to check if that was true and what could be the reason for delayed grape harvest. Our hypothesis was that it could be climate change and the rise of the temperatures what could cause the delayed of the harvest.
We also investigated the temperatures of the last 30 years and some indexes related to the quality of the wine, as the winkler index.

Main results and Conclusions
Variation of the winkler index and the temperature over the past 30 years

Seen the data for the dates of the beginning of the harvest we can not conclude that it is been delayed.
What we can see is that temperatures are increasing and therefore, some of the temeprature indexes of the wine, as the winkler index, are also increasing.
We saw that the quality of the wine is changing, since the winkler Index goes up the wine goes more acid.
Therefore, it is better not to have high temperatures because the wine will be more acid, and the economy of Toro will be affected.

What’s Next? Actions to help lessen the problem
Wine is very important in Toro

We must make people aware that climate change is affecting us
