Summary of the project
https://apps.sentinel-hub.com/eo-browser/

Global warming and temperature increase every day. And the temperature inside the houses? Each member of the team will daily measure the temperature of your home and check this increase. Each lives in a different neighborhood. Is the temperature the same?

Main results and Conclusions
Climate Detectives 2021

The thermometer assists in measuring the temperature. Each team member will be able to perform the measurement, photograph and record by completing the spreadsheet and will make the comparison.

What is the hottest neighborhood? What interferes with the temperature of my house? The number of trees, the shape of the house, the building area? Everything can be evaluated so that it is an important data to be questioned. How can I help to solve the problem? The planting of trees, the change of habits inside the home, the remodeling of the environment, all of this is possible and that is why research is necessary. All together finding a solution and adequacy.

The measurement of temperatures in each neighborhood and the observation of how each region is warmer or less ventilated, may bring data to be inserted in an annotation worksheet. Through photos, filming and daily temperature checks, we will be able to devise a way to improve the local environment. Since each team member lives in a distant neighborhood, the temperature may be milder in one neighborhood and higher in another. It will be interesting to see what are the reasons for these differences, the relief, the climate and the vegetation. Everything is important, everything is a given

What’s Next? Actions to help lessen the problem
Local heating

initiatives such as the planting of new trees, verification of frequent rains and other factors that interfere with the increase in temperature may be created. There is a cock that measures the temperature differently. The colors of your feathers change as the temperature rises.
