Young extreme weather observers
How can we learn through our mistakes, concerning environmental issues, document and forecast extreme weather conditions, so as to be able to protect our community?
The local environmental/climate problem we would like to investigate has to do with floodings and wildfires in our area, resulting in corps damage, deforestation and animal extinction.
Extreme weather
The methods to be followed are: on the spot observation of the results of such phaenomena, newapapers and other local press archives investigation of extreme weather phaenomena in our area, cooperation with officoal institutions, sucu ah the local Fire Department and the University of Patras, or even interviews with people who have suffered from extreme weather conditions throughout the last few decades. Our aim is not only to observe and document instances of extreme weather, but also to find and suggest ways to protect ourselves and other people, or even predict extreme weather conditions.
