In this investigation we wanted to see how we can protect our school from floods and what the water permeability is on our school grounds. We chose this topic to investigate because a few years ago there was a huge flood in our country namely in Wallonia, located in the south of Belgium. In 2023 the “Westhoek” also flooded. The “Westhoek” lies in the northwest of Belgium. In the (near) future, floods are likely to occur closer to our school, that’s why we wanted to investigate how to protect our school from flooding.
