School name: Agrupamento de Escolas Paulo da Gama - EB1/JI do Fogueteiro
Student's age: 8-9
Number of team members: 21
Summary of the project: This project was based on encouraging students to do the recycling in their school and family. They could thus become aware of the importance of good ecological practices for the preservation of the environment, the oceans and the non-release of gaseous pollutants into the atmosphere
Main results: This project was a lot of fun to accomplish and helpful to all students. They will be able to carry out recycling in the classroom, encourage schoolmates to do recycling and take the ecological message to their family. Remember that this school is located in a troubled neighborhood next to Lisbon where the residents do not have ecological habits.
Actions to help lessen the problem: It would be necessary to continue this project with more actions with the students in the school, sessions of clarification in the community and to involve more the entities of the local authority. It would also be necessary to make field trips to the Tejo River (next to the school / Lisbon) and to the oceanic beach.

Projects are created by the teams and they take the full responsibility of the shared data.

Location: Fogueteiro/Seixal/Setúbal, Portugal
